About Melton Skaters
'Melton Skaters' started out as a website in 2003, with an aim to bring all the skaters in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire together, and provide a place where we could check each others skating talent. It had an initial hype among a few, but as with most things, it came to a rest. A while back, the website received a major boost in interest and has since received well over 1,000,000 file hits.
Midway through 2005 also saw "Melton Skaters" turn into an official fundraising/pressure group, to raise money and awareness for the Melton Skatepark that was built in 2007. For information on the history of the skatepark project check out the Melton Skatepark section of this website.
So as it stands at the moment www.meltonskaters.co.uk is a resource for anyone interested in the progress of the skatepark project and is a place where skaters of Melton can see and read anything related to skating in Melton!
