Melton Skatepark Graffiti

As part of the Priors Close regeneration scheme headed by Mars UK, the skatepark got brightened up a bit to try and blend it into the park a bit more, and break up the grey blocks that it appears like from far away.

This included getting some professional street artists in to put up some professional work on the vertical sides of the ramps. They started work on Saturday 14th June 2008 as part of a community fun day organised by Mars, and then came back on Sunday 15th to finish it all off.

On the back of the plaza unit there is a big nature scene with foxes and and a bird, and also some of the well known local landmarks including the Church and Egerton Lodge blended in. On the driveway there is a big Melton Skaters logo and on the mini ramp end of the park there are some cartoon style skaters and bikers.
